7 Online Training Modules

A series of free online training modules for LinguaFolio have been published as part of a collaborative project between the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) and the National Council of State Supervisors for Languages (NCSSFL), and they are housed on the NCSSFL website under LinguaFolio Training at http://ncssfl.org/lfmodules/.

The goal of this seven module series is to provide training on LinguaFolio, a proficiency-based formative assessment tool for language learning, that is available to educators any time they have access to the Internet.

The series contains seven modules:

  1. What is LinguaFolio?

  2. Building your own LinguaFolio

  3. Reflective Learning and Teaching in an Autonomous Environment

  4. LinguaFolio-like Activities

  5. The Importance of Interculturality

  6. Assessing Language Performance

  7. Implementation Timeline and Setting Goals

These modules were designed to be LinguaFolio training for use in professional learning communities (PLCs), district and school workshops, and on an individual basis. They can also be combined with face-to-face LinguaFolio training for a hybrid approach, or used to review aspects of previous LinguaFolio training.

Information is included about how contact hours for CEUs can be documented.
